What we expect from our Medical Biller

  • Someone with experience in billing ICD 10 codes and medical codes, does not have to be physical therapy
  • An understanding of the appeals process and how to exhaust a claim
  • An understanding of how to get authorizations and verifying insurances
  • A good working knowledge of primary, secondary and tertiary insurances.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A team work approach. Getting a claim paid is no easy task and working together to make sure that everything is filed correctly and followed up on and appealed is extremely important
  • Working a claim until it can no longer be work, understanding that a write off can very negatively affect our company.
  • Professionalism. While we like to have fun it is important to remember that we are dealing with patients who are in pain and therefore must maintain professionalism at all times
  • Punctuality. Being on time and showing up for a shift is a must. We are a small company so you are the only person doing your job
  • Someone who wants to be a part of a team. We all work together to make the patient healthy and happy so having someone who is a team player is very important in this role.
  • A Can Do Attitude – We look for people who can help our company be successful. This takes everyone working together. So no matter how small or large the task , we need someone who will roll up their sleeps and help us get it done .
